Benjamin Edwards has been a musician specializing in the performance and of the harmonica, hammered dulcimer and percussion for the last eight years.

Benjamin studied music at Brunel University gaining a music diploma and a 2:1 BA Hons degree in Popular Music. He studied harmonica (the first in Brunel’s history) under the guidance of Brendan Power. Benjamin has been involved for 4 years with Live Music Now! and won a Youth Music award for his performance and education work with the project ‘Klektivo’ at the Vinny Green Secure Unit, Bristol.

Benjamin studied West African percussion in Mali, France and London and has worked with Burkina Faso griot Baba Kone in his band ‘Jeli Masa’ for 3 years. Living in London, Benjamin continues to work as a session harmonicist for record labels, radio and TV work.

Recent tours include supporting Peter Gabriel (Real World Records), Tom Baxter (EMI), Newton Faulkner (Sony) and headline tours with Charlie Winston (Real World Records, Atmospheriques). Charlie's album Hobo reached No1 in France in 2009, including a No1 single with 'Like a Hobo' and recently went diamond with over half a million sold in Europe and Canada.

Recently Ben signed an endorsement with C.A Seydel & Sohne Harmonicas. He plays exclusively the 1847 stainless steel reed diatonic harmonica and the SAXONY stainless steel chromatic harmonica.
