Bio
Black Bell's first show was not at a bar, or a concert hall in front of hot and sweaty uncomfortable teenagers itching to see the band they played for. Black Bell's first show was not a youth event. It was not even an acoustic show at a coffee house or an open mic. No … Black Bell's first show was in front of 25 pre teens and teenagers at TOMfest in Camas Washington. And it was at the Rockband tent. Performing "Bulls on Parade" by Rage Against the Machine. TOMfest was the last stop for Salem hard rock quintet, Stillfire, promoting the release of their LP, "Here Lies the Wounded" featuring Aaron Brown on drums, Ash Biggs on guitar and backing vocals, Mike Loudenback on lead guitar, Gavin Ward on bass, and Ember, one of Salem's most talented female vocalists. "Here Lies the Wounded" was the culmination of 3 years of intense touring, and performing consistently several times a month. The album was a bi-polar and jarring mix of slamming guitar riffs, soaring solos, quiet moments of introspection, only to be thrown into a meat grinder again and above all of the chaos was Ember's voice soaring like a bird above a battle ground. The last show was a hit for the TOMfest crowds, but it would see the last time, to date, that Stillfire would take the stage with the line-up represented on 'Here Lies The Wounded'. After a grueling and costly tour, the members of Stillfire needed to catch their breath and recollect. However, the band in that incarnation would soon be no more. After some time of careful deliberation, the band members backing Ember left Stillfire to pursue other creative outlets. Not very long following, Ash Biggs, Aaron Brown and Mike Loudenback began collaborating on some songs that Ash had been sitting on for a few years while pursuing other musical endeavors, including the afore-mentioned Stillfire. Within six months, an eclectic mix of hard rock, pop, and fusion brought life to the old songs that had begun collecting dust. Black Bell's "The Truth of Silence EP" was a fresh creative direction for the hard rockers. Instead of face melting solos, and grinding guitar riffs, the former Stillfire trio integrated more acoustic elements, opting instead to self-produce seven songs on (mainly) acoustic guitars. But the concept was to have the EP be acoustic based … but still with the feel of a live rock band. While not as heavy hitting as their previous work on "Here Lies the Wounded," the new project certainly had its own brand of uniqueness. Biggs, Brown, and Loudenback, called up their old bass thumping buddy Gavin Ward to take up low end duties, and the quartet began playing cover gigs for biker clubs to raise money for the distribution of their self-produced EP. For their first few shows, the members went under the moniker of Entropy. They later changed the name to Black Bell … why? "because it had a nice ring to it!" (Aaron Brown) Playing a few hours of old classic rock and grunge covers paid off quickly for the young act and they were able to raise enough money for the first wave of the production of "The Truth of Silence EP." The live shows were quite unexpected for any who had heard the EP first. While the EP certainly had elements of hard rock, it certainly did not seem to warrant the kind of heavy aggression but seasoned experience with loud guitars and pounding drums that would later define Black Bell's sound from the stage. The band was something of an enigma. After a little over a year of local gigging, the boys began the pre-production work on the full length follow up to their EP. Unfortunately, due to financial and personal restrictions, the development of the album was very slow. After a couple years of working on the project off and on, the members of Black Bell began to deliberate more on the project towards the end of 2012. Towards the beginning of 2013, Black Bell had to say goodbye to their long time friend and bass player, Gavin Ward who enlisted in the Marine Corps. However, Black Bell has recently added the additions of Jared Tillford on keyboards, and Anthony Hicks on bass. They are currently adding keyboard parts onto the tracks for their full length "The Inevitable Decline" which promises to be the most dynamic album of any of their careers. The album is scheduled for a July 2013 release date, and the band is currently preparing their live show so that when you see the words "The Decline is Coming…" you will know it will be good when it does. -

hola! 2 new tracks! enjoy ;-]
A starfish's lifelong hallucinations of gelatin pools and of actuaries floating upon the foam and reciprocal ohm. You breath as delicately as vapors flowing towards an attractive flame. I relentlessly desire cotton candy lollipops. Wood nymphs sprinkle your path with rose petals while you dance and prowl in the sequined moonlight with leftover cupcake sprinkles. Your cleverness helps me breathe without the need of oxygen. Your beauty is equal to the smoothness of a polished gem. I desire to see life through your hallucinations so that they massage my viscera into an eternal state of turgid flux.
