Social Conscience
The effects the lack of it has on our society
Social conscience is a sense of responsibility which individuals of a society derive logically from ethical or moral principles that governs their thoughts and actions when they interact with each other. It is the core factor that makes a society exist, therefore we must be concern with the lack thereof. We should all share the same understanding that whatever is good for the society is good for the individual, if it makes the society strong it will make the individual strong. Through this understanding, without any doubt we must come to the consensus that it is best for us to work together for the benefit of our society. Regardless of our position in this society whether it is determine by our wealth, our political affiliations, our religious affiliations, our academic achievements, or whatever makes us think that some of us are better off or worse off than others, we must work together. For a society like any small group has its common purpose for which it strives to achieve. Now, would you agree with me that any group in which its members do not work together is no group at all and its common purpose will not be achieve. It is pass due-time if you ask me; that we should all work together, not as an individual neither as a segregated group living in the darkness of destructive selfishness, but together as one entity. For this will increase the level of our unselfish concern for the welfare of others within our society.
