    AGR Television Records is pleased to announce the signing of Americana Artist, DownTown Mystic, to a multi album licensing deal for Europe and the Middle East. Led by Robert Allen and based in the USA, DownTown Mystic's style of Roots/Rock music has been called "vintage yet modern", combining forces with a stellar cast of musicians (including band members of Bruce Springsteen & Paul McCartney). DownTown Mystic has received national radio play in the US, as well as Europe, charting on both the Americana Music Assn. and Euro/Americana charts. Robert about the signing: "On behalf of DownTown Mystic, I'm extremely pleased to be signing with such a great label as AGR. Being discovered by legendary A&R man Juergen Kramar, I'm excited for the opportunity to come to Europe and play for the great Rock'n'Roll fans there". The first release under the new deal will hit the shelves in the second half year 2011. What began as a solo project, morphed into a group, combining forces with a stellar cast of musicians (including band members of Bruce Springsteen & Paul McCartney) and produced 3 cds... DownTown Mystic's new cd, "Standing Still" is the 3rd release from the enigmatic artist, Robert Allen. Blending story telling songs with vintage guitars and analog recording, into a unique style that owes nods to Buffalo Springfield, The Byrds, Poco, The Beatles & The Stones, DownTown Mystic's music is rooted in all the great traditions of American Rock 'n' Roll. On playing roots/rock'n'roll, Robert says, "there's a good deal of Country in the roots of Rock'n'Roll. Going back to Elvis, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, the Everly Bros. and even the Skiffle craze in Britain that had a big influence on The Beatles, Country was in the 'feel' that was a big part of that music". And it's a big part of what makes "Standing Still" DownTown Mystic's most fully realized album to date, landing the cd on the Euro/Americana Top 25 Chart & the AMA Chart in the US.     Wow, you have seen some of the most beautiful and interesting German cities! :-) My family has an old country house not far aways from Bonn. I am there once or twice a year. Bonn used to be our capital before Berlin. You probably loved the river Rhine and the mountains called "Siebengebirge". My dad (already dead) was born in Cologne and the old city is very vivid! The dome is famous, too! Glad you had a good time here! In Hamburg, it is a bit chilly and overcast. Which of the cities did you like most?

    Glad you like Hamburg. It's really a beautiful city, very versatile. I live not far away from Dammtor-Bahnhof. Did you have a gig here? Today it was sunny, but still cold. What did you do here, did you visit the harbour, Blankenese etc.??? Cheers - Friederike
