With the explosive growth of computers music technology and consequent reduction in the cost of equipment in the late 1990s, the number of artists and DJs working within electronic music is overwhelming.
With the advent of hard disk recording systems, it is possible for any home computer user to become a musician, and hence the rise in the number of "bedroom bands", often consisting of a single person...Well, I'm this "single person"...hope to enjoy my music folks!

Hello myspace fellow-travellers and welcome to my music site.
My name is Vassili and the moniker's Elektroneer. Born (1964) and raised in Athens although "raised" is not so accurate since my father was in the army and we had to move a lot. No complains thoughβ¦by the age of 16 I had been all around Greece and Cyprus too!
My thing is to make music on my pc. I think I'm the typical bedroom musician, though my little studio isn't located in my bedroom lol!
I've been producing since 1999, but only the last 3-4 years I've been serious about it.
I started kinda late doing this, but what can I sayβ¦when I was 15 there weren't any personal computers, and we were happy if we only had a pocket calculatorβ¦
And not a word about a hardware synthesizer, back in the 70's and early 80's they cost as much as a small apartment and believe me I wasn't rich.
But I was always into music one way or another, by playing the piano a little, DJing for a couple of moons and of course by supplying my huge (ego) vinyl collection with new blood (only CDs nowadays).
I'm not going to describe my music by telling you things like...from where I get my inspiration, or what kind of dreamy landscapes (if any) I fantasize while putting together my tracks, and if my music sounds more like this or that genre.
I don't like to direct you to any particular realm.
If you like my music I'm sure that you'll find your own way and see your own visions through it :)
I also like to spend time making my own software synthesizers and FX, although I don't practice it a lot lately (blame it on myspace addiction).
Some of the sounds you hear in my tracks are from my own homemade plugins under the name/logo Echoic.
I use Synthedit for this job and occasionally Reaktor.
You can check some of my synths if you have a look at my pics.
Don't bother looking them up in KVR or anywhere else; I've never released them.
I'm just doin' it to help my music and to get more experienced on ways of sound synthesis.
You may never achieve to build sounds so powerful as the ones you hear in a pro soft synth, but making your own synths has a great advantageβ¦you'll end up "understand" them in a way that won't happen with any other pro synth!
I'm having good times making my music and I hope you'll have great time while listening to it.

Music is one thing that none of us will never ever have enough, and I'm damn happy about it!
