El Remolón es el alias del argentino Andrés Schteingart (a.k.a Drole) en el cual se sumerge en las extravagancias de la música autóctona utilizando los recursos que la música electrónica puede ofrecer. En sus temas utiliza influencias que van desde la cumbia colombiana, cumbia villera o reaggetón hastael dub, idm y minimal y electro. Los sonidos que genera se mueven en una cadencia por momentos hipnótica y voladora que invita a disfrutarlo en un baile de mediana y alta intensidad. En Zizek, promueve nuevos sonidos y sus producciones suenan habitualmente, pudiéndose escuchar también temas suyos en sets de djs internacionales como Diplo o Dj Rupture. Su espíritu pop ha permitido que se presente con reconocidos íconos del circuito local, llegando a recibir colaboraciones de la talla de Ale Sergi (Miranda!) o de Pablo Lescano (Damas Gratis). Su EP Cumbia Bichera, editado por el netlabel chileno Pueblo Nuevo ha sido el disco de ese sello más bajado del año y algunos de sus remixes y mashups se encuentran desperdigados por la web. Como artista del sello ZZK Records ya se encuentra editado su disco debut "Pibe Cosmo" y su vinilo promocional de 12". Participa, además de la fusión entre cumbia y baile funk con el EP Funk Mundial 8 junto a Frikstailers, Douster y Chancha Via Circuito editado por el sello berlinés Man Recordings y acabo de arribar de una reciente mini-gira por Brasil. Como varios artistas de Zizek, en 2008 presentó su show en Nueva York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago y el reconocido festival SXSW, además de 13 ciudades de Europa. ___________________________________________________________________ [english ] El Remolón, the alias of Argentine Andrés Schteingart (aka Drole), has stretched the limits of local music by incorporating all of the resources that electronic music has to offer. His tracks are influenced by the sounds of Colombian cumbia, cumbia villera, reaggetón, and dub, idm, minimal techno and electro. The hypnotic rhythms of the sound he creates invites you dance to the intensifying beats. In Zizek, he promotes new sounds and productions which can be heard on the sets of international DJs like Diplo and DJ Rupture. His pop spirit has allowed him to become recognized among icons in the local circuit, leading to his collaborations with top artists such as Ale Sergi (Miranda!) Or Pablo Lescano (Damas Gratis). El Remolón's EP Cumbia Bichera, released by the Chilean net-label Pueblo Nuevo, was the label’s most downloaded album this year, scattering some of his remixes and mashups all over the web. As a member of ZZK Records, he just released the debut album "Pibe Cosmo" along with its promotional 12” vinyl. In addition he added his taste of the fusion of cumbia and baile funk to the EP Funk World 8 with Frikstailers, and Douster Chancha Via Circuito released by the Berlin label Man Recordings. In 2008, along with various other artists of Zizek, he preformed in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and at the renowned SXSW festival, in addition to 13 cities in Europe, and has just come back from a recent mini-tour in Brazil.
