The Eric Tessmer Band consists of three young musicians, whose high-octane performances are known for packing clubs in the band's hometown of Austin, TX. They bring various backgrounds, influences, and musical genres into the sound of the blues trio. Led by 25 year-old Eric Tessmer on guitar, band members include Allen Daniell, 25, on bass and Doug Day, 26, on drums. The band, although young, is far beyond their years in tone and ability. Thus far, age has not prevented the band from dropping jaws of all ages; in fact, it has magnified the impact of their performances and lasting awe of the crowd contradicts their mature sound and ability, the Eric Tessmer Band creates eclectic audiences where ever they play. In addition to holding down the groove for the ETB, Allen occasionally takes the lead role with his tenor vocals... ..Doug Day has lived in Austin for seven years, but is originally from Castroville, TX. A multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, he also plays the trumpet and guitar, but these days he spends much more time behind the drum kit... ..

Eric was raised in a family of guitarists. Taking to his father's record collection at a young age, Eric developed a deep love for the blues by the time he was in his teens. Born in Wisconsin , Eric moved to Austin as soon he finished high school to pursue his love of music. Eric has played in various blues bands and backed up several gospel choirs around Texas before he and Allen started the ETB.
