  • New Brixton Show!

Due to 'phenomenal demand' (!) we've added an extra Brixton Academy show to our UK tour on Saturday 26th November. Because it's a Saturday night we're going invite some DJs to come along and make it into a late party. Doors 9pm-3am, bring your dancing shoes. We'll announce the line-up soon.

  • Our UK Tour

  • SBTRKT

    Hello everyone, Ed here.

We have had the fantastic SBTRKT supporting us on a few dates recently. He kindly gave me an advance copy of his record which includes a track that has brought me to tears. The song is called "Something Goes Right". It's such a beautiful and simplistic piece of music. Sampha soulfully sings "is it better to let you go? or is it better to let you know?".

To me it has encapsulated the frustration of unrequited love or the denial of knowing you have to let someone go.

If you're a hopeless romantic like myself, this one's for you. Young Turks are putting the record out on 27th June. Here's his current single "Wildfire".

  • UK Tour and more

    Hi all... you well?

Good. Lots of exciting stuff to get through today. We spent Sunday making a music video. It was a 17 hour marathon, and around half of this we spent in make-up. I'd rather not ruin the surprise as to the reason of this, but before you make a wisecrack this wasn't because we're total mingers and 8 1/2 hours is the minimum to stop us cracking the camera lens. Talking of cameras (and possibly a tiny bit of make-up) we appear on Later with Jools Holland BBC2 Tonight (22:00) and Friday (00:20). They are the last shows in the series and we've got a couple of things up our sleeves to give the show grand finale. Also on the show is 60s folk music legend Donovan, who lived in Hatfield and learned to play guitar in St Albans, so we'll be hooking up with him to go to Batchwood afterwards.

Today our new album Pala is released to the lucky people of USA and Canada! As you probably know we're immensely proud of this record, so go and buy it and play it as loud as possible. You know the drill by now: its the one with the parrot on the front:

We also begin our tour of the Americas this Wednesday at New York's Webster Hall- tickets are still remaining for some of these dates so if you move fast you can snap one up.

We'll be flying straight from our performance on Jools Holland's show on BBC2 so I'm sure we'll be ready to lose our minds on stage- this obviously could be a good thing or a bad thing, but deffo worth turning up for either way.

We can also announce the dates of our Autumn UK tour. Ticket go on sale at 9am tomorrow from this very site. Go to the Live page of our website:
