Gopal Das is a famous tabla player in India, born in Orissa in 1984. He trained under the illustrious tabla maestro Pandit Shankar Ghosh for last ten years. Gopal regularly plays with the greatest names in Indian Classical Music such as Pt Deepak Chowdhury. He is also performing with Guru Bandana Sen, Ranikarna in Kathak dance, and also with Dr. Sunanda Patnayak and Prabhati Mukherjee in vocal classical music, etc... He is a B high artist in Prasarbharati (all India radio & Duradarshan). Gopal Das received Sangeet Sree Gold in M.MUS on tabla of Bangiya Sangeet Kala Kendra under R.B. University (W.B.) in 1996, Utkala Award by humble minister Shri. Amar Chowdhury (W.B.) at Swabhumi, and the Chetna's 1st prize from all Bengal Competition in Kolkata on 11th Dec. 2005. He performed his tabla all over India. Gopal joined internatonal classical conference at Andrapradesh on 14th Sep. 1997, and attend as an invited guest artist in Akhil Bharatya Sangeet Utsab at Allahabad on 20th Jan. 1998.
