SELECTIVE REVIEWS:

BATTEUR MAGAZINE (1997):

-------------------------------

"Hardly a month ever goes by without the release of a new record involving Benjamin Henocq. He can also be found in most Parisian jazz clubs. But far from being opportunistic, Benjamin is simply indispensable."

SO WHAT MAGAZINE (1999):

---------------------------------

"Alchemist of rhythms for the trio Prysm, First Prize at the La Defense contest, nominated at the Victoires de la Musique, energetic drummer for the Stéfano di Battista quartet, ex-member of Kartet… Henocq boasts an already full career and is praised by great artists such as Kenny Garrett. He has many projects for the coming year, including with the great American singer James Taylor.”

LE MONDE (2001):

------------------------

"There is in PRYSM a great science of shared harmony, including in the percussions – the choice of cymbal, skin tension and beat are, with Henocq, like a song : an internal pulse, the mystery of Swing… »

NOVA MAG (2002):

-------------------------

"[…] nice surprise: the latest French star of be-bop drums chooses funk to inaugurate the first concert done exclusively under his name: "The One And Only Drummer " is a homage to Herbie Hancock. "

M6 TV-JAZZ 6 (2002):

-----------------------------

"Benjamin HENOCQ is at once the pillar of the trio Prysm, a true singer with drums and a formidable master of rhythms.”

NOVA MAG (2003):

-------------------------

"With his project "Tribute to The Head Hunters ", Henocq offers more than a Herbie Hancock revival: he delivers his own version from the new millennium. The drummer for PRYSM is one of the best in terms of ternary rhythm. Here, he embraces binary rhythm with just the right band. Very funky ! "

BATTEUR MAGAZINE (2004):

---------------------------------

"Better known in the Jazz world but just as effective and involved in Funk and Pop, Benjamin always seeks to learn more and enrich an already impressive career.”

BATTERIE MAGAZINE (2006):

-----------------------------------

"For the first time, Batterie Magazine spoke with Mr Henocq, a UFO in the world of drums who played with the greatest jazzmen but also legends of pop such as James Taylor. Conversation with the wizard of swing, a true composer with drums.”

TMV Mag (2013):

-----------------------

“Stephane Belmondo didn’t arrive alone tonight: he is accompanied by drum prodigy Benjamin Henocq (magical right hand – how does he do it?).
