Influences
We will comment on the melodies and mood together because they go hand in hand. The melodies just create this very airy, spacey, relaxing mood. When listening to them, it kind of put in a trance, and just makes feel really good. They are very catchy and definitely grabb attention after 10 seconds of listening, and even when it's over, we still want to hear more ! With any other synths, the same atmosphere might not have been able to be created. The glassy sound got from them just gives so much color and emotion. Some tracks set into some eastern mood, like a touch of hiundism in them. The funky and rocky tracks use the uncommon sound of drum tapping, sustained piano or guitars. The mixing of all these different and seemingly unmatched instruments are played together in a fast and melodious beat that makes one groove along. -
Sounds Like
As far as who it sounds like, it's hard to say. It is relatively original, but if we have to choose, we guess we would say something similar to Autechre's "Amber" cd (not with all the technicality of their sequencing) combined with the atmosphere that Eluvium can create.
