    Marcel Verplaetse began drums at age 16 in 1980 with JP Abbiatte (professional drummer) in Creil (France) . Until 1987 these are learning times in different bands (rock , folk , metal , funk) and a passage in the army music of Rouen (military service 1983-1984) . He began to play in bars . In 1985 he took drums lessons in Paris (France Percussion Studio) . In 1987 he played classic percussion in Opéra for Children "La Sorcière du Placard aux balais" in Verneuil and came into "Satori" a fusion band wich who he played concerts and specially opening act for well known progressive band "Gong" in 1990 . The same year he played a tour in Hungary with Jazz Workshop of Santa Barbara with Fabien Chouraki (France) , Janos Szanislo (Hungary) and Linn Cook (USA) . En 1997 special event in JMJ Boulogne Billancourt ( coming in France of Jean Paul 2) . He recorded with "Hervé Renard Group" the first Album of Hervé "Pick up and choose" and create the Jazz Trio "Jabba" wich with he played many concerts . Since 2001 he joined Northern Blues Rock Band from Lille "Billbrothers" wich with he played concert in France and Belgium (Elvis Presley Festival Abeele - Blues Festival Abbeville) . He went to Chicago (USA) where he took place in Jam's session in "Buddy Guy" , "Andy's" and "Velvet Lounge" . In 2002 creation of experimental trio "Stiguibat" with Chapman Stick , Guitar and Drums (Festival des Caisses Plates - Evreux , All in Stage Festival - Eu). In 2004 he moved to Canada where he recorded with Adam Harnett his first studio album in Metalworks Studio (Mississauga - Toronto) where had recorded such artist like Rush , Prince , David Bowie , Tina Turner ect ... He played also with a Québec Band "Talea" with who he took place in the International contest of the song in Grandby . 2007 back in France , he reformed Stiguibat and came to play in big band "Eole Jazz Band" in Montataire . 2008 he recorded with classical duo "Saxorgue" (Saxophone and Organ) "Atypique" CD and came to play in folk Top 40 band "Philsband 93" . 2009 With Eole Jazz Band he played in a musical story in Beauvaisis Theater of Beauvais . 3rd Jazz Festival Haute Picardie . With Saxorgue he played in Classical Festival "Festival Eclats d'Orgue" in Coye la forêt . He played in "Festival des Clochers" with Why not Quintet a jazz band . 2010 he played with Saxorgue Trio in "Conservatoire Henry Dutilleux" in Clamart , with Eole Jazz Band in 5th "Festival des Clochers" and in the same festival with a jazz quartet "Tribute to Chet Baker" . 2011 opening act for Jazzophonies with Eole Jazz Band in Creil , Festival "Chamb'art'dement" with Syndical Jazz Quartet and with Philsband 93 in the well known political event "Fête de l'humanité" .
