.. Maria Haukaas Storeng will release her 3rd album Make My Day this summer.

One of Norway’s leading pop and musical artists, Maria started her career at an early age when she landed the lead in the musical Annie at 11. After many years on the musical stage she gained national recognition in 2004 for her participation in the Idol reality television series. International recognition came in 2008 when she represented Norway in the 53rd Eurovision Song Contest. She competed with the song “Hold On Be Strong” written by colleague and friend Mira Craig. Hold “On Be Strong” became one of the biggest hits of the year and sold to platinum in Norway. It also appeared on hit lists in Greece, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Turkey. Maria reached an incredible 5th place in the international Eurovison Final. Marias second album Hold On Be Strong was released by Universal Music in May 2008.

In 2009 Maria hosted the Norwegian finals of the Eurovision Song Contest and started work on her next album. Early 2010 she entered the Norwegian finals of the Eurovision Song Contest for a second time singing “Make My Day”. She came 5th at the finals. Make My Day was the first single from her new album where she has worked with producers og writers like Simen Eriksrud (Donkeyboy) and Espen Berg from Livingroom Studios (Eriksrud also produced songs on her last album “Hold On Be Strong”) and Lars Kåre Hustoft from Chrystal Air Music. The album also includes a duet with Måns Zelmerlöw, one of Swedens most popular artists.

As a “grown up”-artist Marias been seen in numerous shows, theatre- and musical productions, such as The Wizard Of Oz, Fame, Hamlet, Grease, and Peer Gynt etc.

Her first album Breathing was released in 2005.
