Music for Relief

MUSIC FOR RELIEF seeks to bring the music community together to maximize the efforts to create awareness and raise funds for those in need. MUSIC FOR RELIEF is comprised of musicians, fans, and music industry professionals.

Founded by the band Linkin Park, Music for Relief is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing aid to victims of natural disasters and the prevention of such disasters. Since its inception in 2005, Music for Relief has raised over $5 million for the victims of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Hanna, Gustav & Ike, Wildfires in Southern California and Victoria Australia, Cyclones Sidr and Aila in Bangladesh, Cyclones Nargis in Burma, Sidr & Aila in Bangladesh, the 5.12 earthquake in China, the cholera outbreak in Zimbabwe, Typhoons Ketsana, Parma, Morakot and Lupit in Southeast Asia, 2009 earthquakes in the Pacific Islands and Indonesia, a tornado in Mena, Arkansas, the 2010 Haiti Earthquake, China’s Wenchuan Earthquake, Monsoon Flooding in Pakistan, and the 2011 Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan.

MFR has organized a benefit concert featuring multi-platinum artists, sent musicians and volunteers to Southeast Asia and the U.S. Gulf Coast to help rebuild and donate supplies to people in need, and planted over 1 million trees to help reduce global warming.
