NATTY BASS BIO (Fr) :

NATTY BASS est issu du Natty Bass Sound System, collectif formé à Londres en 1995 (résidence au Mas Cafe) qui sévira sur les dancefloors français à partir de 1997 avec 4 dj's et 2 mc's (+ des graphistes et vidéo), mixant aux côtés de DJ VADIM, SMOKEY JOE, AMON TOBIN, FOUR HEROES, FREDDY FRESH, AADAM F, ALEX REECE, ASIAN DUB FOUNDATION, AUDIOACTIVE, DJ RUSH ...
La suite logique de cette formation aboutira à la création du Natty Bass Live (batterie, machines, claviers) qui assura la première partie du PEUPLE DE L'HERBE sur la tournée 2002-2003 et remixera le single "No Escape" du même Peuple de l'herbe (feat UK.APACHE).
Le groupe se retrouve en studio pour l' enregistrement de l'album "Sound That Hammers" (2004) et "Komintern" (2006) avec DJ RANIUM aux machines/claviers et FRANK D. à la batterie.
Désormais appelé Natty Bass et après s'être fait la main aux côtés de DEATH IN VEGAS, des SVINKELS, de ZENZILE, de JAGGA JAZZIST, STEREOLAB, HERBALISER, DJ FOOD, DETROIT GRAND PUBAHS, CRYSTAL DISTORTION, le groupe donne toute sa puissance en live, le compteur bloqué entre 110 et 195 bpm, ascènant bass Jungle et nappes Trance, métissant les beats Drum & Bass et les ambiances technoîde, que l'on retrouve au sein de leur 3 eme album "Live Chez Nous". Aujourd'hui 5 maxi viennet de faire leur apparition dans la galaxie Natty Bass : TOXIMIST 1 2 3 4 5.

NATTY BASS is steaming of the Natty Bass Sound System, krew that was created in London in 1995 (Mas Café residence) and that has been performing french dancefloors since 1997 with 4 djs, 2 mcs and also graphists and vj's beside artists like DJ VADIM, SMOKEY JOE, AMON TOBIN, FOUR HEROES, FREDDY FRESH, AADAM F, ALEX REECE, ASIAN DUB FOUNDATION, AUDIOACTIVE, DJ RUSH ... The logic continuation to that was the creation of a live section called Natty Bass Live (drums, machines and keyboards) which has been opening "Le Peuple de l'Herbe"'s shows during their 2002 - 2003 tour and has also remixed the "No escape" (Feat. UK APACHE) single from them.
The band gets in studio for the recording of the first album called "Sound That Hammers" in 2004 and also the second one titled "Komintern" in 2006 with DJ RANIUM (Machines and keys) and FRANK D (drums). Now called Natty Bass and after sharing stage beside people like DEATH IN VEGAS, AGGA JAZZIST, STEREOLAB, HERBALISER, DJ FOOD, DETROIT GRAND PUBAHS, CRYSTAL DISTORTION ...
Natty Bass reveals itself as a hammering swingy mix whom meter is blocked between 110 and 195 BPM playing jungle basses and reeces mixed with trancey pads and arps, always mixing Drum 'n Bass beats with Technoids sounds. We can talk about an hybrid live techstep and trancestep style that's been lately recorded on the third album called "Live Chez Nous". Now coming out 5 EP's : TOXIMIST 1 2 3 4 5
