Well, I admit I had to wait til my first trip to the US in 1992 to finally realize that Bobby Brown was not hip-hop...My Cousin wanted to watch this flick called "Juice" and I loved the soundtrack so we went to buy it and i still bang the shit outta Eric B. & Rakim's "Know The Ledge" to this day... Anyway, I bought my first MPC the next year...all I know is that the store fucked me over the price...I still use it as my main piece of equipement tho...I also got an SP1200 and plan on buying a couple of keyboards... Nespresso, What else?? I'm heavily nfluenced by A Tribe Called Quest, Dilla, The Roots & early Rawkus catalogue but also from the London scene (Bugz, Spacek, 4 Hero, Mashi, ...) ............ ...... ......
