Today Qwartz has assembled 3,000 labels and 10,000 artists. Independent labels and artists have to send their releases that are digitalized and detagged in order to be selected by Qwartz jury blindfold. The juries’ members select five to eight releases in each of the following categories: Album, Discover, Experimentation/Research, Track, Dance-Floor/Clubbing, Compilation, Artwork & Packaging, and Video... The jury’s selection will be published mid-November. Then, the Internet users are invited to listen to the jury’s selection on Qwartz website [www.qwartz.org] in order to vote for the nominees during three months... ....THE JURY...... ================================================.. .. The Professional Jury - 7 to 10 music sector professionals – listens to all the pre-selected releases. QWARTZ - ELECTRONIC MUSIC AWARDS

Qwartz is an organization that promotes and supports independent musical creation through an international contest. During the closing ceremony of each edition of Qwartz, independent labels and artists are acknowledged with prizes and endowments.
The event brings together the different waves of new and electronic music, from its pioneers to contemporary artists, from the most demanding to the most festive, from electroacoustic to techno. LAUNCHING OF QWARTZ 7TH EDITION ELECTRONIC MUSIC AWARDS

THE SELECTION PROCESS
================================================

Independent labels and artists have to send their releases that are digitalized and detagged in order to be selected by Qwartz jury blindfold. The juries’ members select five to eight releases in each of the following categories: Album, Discover, Experimentation/Research, Track, Dance-Floor/Clubbing, Compilation, Artwork & Packaging, and Video.
The jury’s selection will be published mid-November. Then, the Internet users are invited to listen to the jury’s selection on Qwartz website [www.qwartz.org] in order to vote for the nominees during three months.

THE JURY

The Professional Jury - 7 to 10 music sector professionals – listens to all the pre-selected releases. Then, the Official Jury – 4 artistic personalities – listens to the pre-selection of the Professional Jury, that is to say a tenth of the releases.
The composition of each jury will be announced in September 2010.

THE AWARDS CEREMONY

The registration for Qwartz seventh edition is as follows: you have to send us an e-mail to registration7[@]qwartz.org before July 15th 2010. The e-mail must contain the following information:
- Organization name (label, association, collective, band...):
- Full name of the applicant:
- Artist(s)’s and release(s)’s names:

Please notice that you cannot register more than 2 releases per artist and 10 releases per label.

For each registered release please send us an original and non-promotional copy (CD-R for netlabels).

The releases have to be sent before July 24th, 2010, 12am to the following address:
