I Total Riot is a 5-piece metal band hailing from Athens, Greece playing tribal thrash influenced metal.

The band was formed back in 2005 and not long after the formation of the band they start writing their own material and began gigging around Athens and Greece.

Using different material and experimenting with different sorts of ethnic instruments is what makes Total Riot’s music challenging and intense. Following a more tribal and melodic path Total Riot brings something different and unusual at their live shows and they always try to bring new innovations in their music and performances.

In 2010 Total Riot had the honor to take the first place at the National Wacken Metal Battle contest and to perform live in Germany at one of the biggest heavy metal festivals: Wacken Open Air 2010. The band was included in the festival's line-up with bands like Iron Maiden, Mötley Crüe, Slayer, Fear Factory and many more world famous artists, having the chance to share their music live with thousands of metalheads! The whole performance was filmed and was released by the band as a DVD for promotional purposes only.

The year 2011 was also a very productive period as the band did it's first tour abroad taking part at the “Restore The Insanity Tour” supporting Ill Nino (USA) and Breed 77 (UK) in four different countries across Europe exposing their music live in new places and audiences. It was the band's first extensive interact with professional musicians and promoters that involved gaining lots of great experience and motivation!

The following summer Total Riot also gave a big concert at the Sonisphere 2011 festival held in Greece being part of a ten band line-up that included artists like Slipknot, Iron Maiden and Mastodon. The event was considered as one of the biggest metal gatherings ever organised in the country! Total Riot's show was very powerful and intense as it was the first time the band performed in front of such a big crowd in their hometown.

Those days the band arranges and records new matterial for their debut album that's scheduled to be completed before fall of 2012!

See you all in the Jungle!!! T.R.!
