Vittorio Tolomeo

Thank you so much to all the people who have been following this page over the last two years. Thank you so much for listening and buying the album Prize Day. Great vibes and feedback. It's been a fantastic time. Now my solo project has turned into a band called Prizeday. It's an extension of the musical journey. The ending lines of the album were about having a flame inside ready to burn up...if you got it, there's no reason to extinguish it. We don't wanna extinguish it so we realized that Prizeday is the right name for the band, to keep on doing music with the same passion and intensity. The new record will be ready in March...stay tuned :-) Cheers! http://lnk.ms/XyRW4

Thank you so much to all the people who have been following my pages on the web over the last two years.
Thank you so much for listening and buying the album Prize Day.
Great vibes and feedback. It's been a fantastic time. The songs have gotten a lot of airplay and nice reviews in many European countries, USA, Australia.
My band and I played around Europe very good shows. We also played a bunch of gigs in the UK for the first time.
I got in touch with a lot of people from so many countries on the way.
I met my manager Bruce Replogle. I met Carlo Basile who represented me for a while. I met Marshall Blonstein who distributed the record in the United States.
Now my solo project has turned into a band called Prizeday. It's an extension of the musical journey.
The album Prize Day was an introspective journey through questions and reflections with sudden changes of moods, sometimes romantic, sometimes harsh, where the ending lines were about having a flame inside ready to burn up...if you got it, there's no reason to extinguish it.
We don't wanna extinguish it so we realized that Prizeday is the right name for the band, to keep on doing music with the same passion and intensity.
The new record will be sonically different, less introspective, much more oriented towards the outside world. Hopefully increasing the range of tones.
We are working hard on it. It will be ready in March...please follow the links below to join us...stay tuned :-)

Cheers,

Vittorio

We are proud to represent Vittorio Tolomeo, and to help bring his music to the world stage.

  • Bio

Prizeday is the new band coming from Vittorio Tolomeo's solo project and his acclaimed record 'Prize Day'. Andrea Viti joined him in this change after teaming up with him live and during studio sessions. Friendship, the will to convey energy and passion through a gut songwriting, sound research in the studio and a strong impact playing live. These are the foundations of the band based between London and Milan. Vittorio is a songwriter, singer, guitar player. Andrea is a songwriter, bass player. They both play other instruments, which is very important in their creative process. They thought about forming a band while they were playing in the UK a promotional tour for 'Prize Day', which brought Vittorio Tolomeo to the fore in many countries. The songs received a lot of airplay in the US, Europe, Australia, and attracted the attention of Marshall Blonstein, former president of Island Records, who distributed the album through his label Audio Fidelity in the US and Canada. Andrea Viti comes from great musical experience as bass player with the well known Italian band Afterhours, and collaborations with Mark Lanegan and Greg Dulli. They are developing a sound which has been described as a crossroad where emotional lyrics blend with the edginess of indie rock and the wide approach to melodic powerpop.
