You need to know what music is popping. It’s your right to be able to tell your friends what’s hot and what’s not, which songs people are listening to and which ones are so last week. That’s why every Monday we’re giving you “Movers of the Week.” This weekly post will highlight which songs have been busting up the Myspace charts and which have started to fall off, or disappeared completely. To help you out, check out this week’s Top 50 Songs On Myspace and then compare it with last week’s.
    .

Somebody That We Already Know: Australia’s Gotye continues to coast along. His smash single “Somebody That I Used To Know” remains atop the Myspace charts. What’s even more unbelievable is the fact that this song is not your traditional pop single. We don’t like to brag, but we kind of told you this dude was gonna be big!
    .
Add Wiz and You’ve Got A Smash: It seems that Wiz Khalifa is making his presence felt everywhere these days. So while it may have been a bit surprising to find him guesting on Maroon 5’s newest single, “Payphone”, it really shouldn’t’ come as that big a shock. Why? The dude helps move units. This week “Payphone” jumped to Number 3 on the Myspace charts, up from last week’s showing at Number 13.
    .
Moving in the Wrong Direction: UK boy band One Direction, thanks to their hit single “What Makes You Beautiful“, have ignited a global storm of shrieking girls. They’ also been holding their own on the Myspace charts. But this week the crew have dropped off. Whereas last week they sat at Number Four, this week they’ve moved down to Number Eight. One Direction fans: Start listening to that song and move it back up! We know you can do it.
    .
Linkin Park Are Back: The alt-crew, led by Mike Shinoda and Chester Bennington, have made their grand return! Following 2010’s A Thousand Suns, Linkin Park will return with their new album, Living Things, on June 26th. The album also marks another collaboration with super-producer Rick Rubin. To kick things off, they’ve dropped the album’s first single, “Burn It Down”, which debuts this week on the Myspace charts at Number 30.
    .
Miller Time: Mac Miller has had legions of fans on Myspace for some time now. But only recently, with his debut album, Blue Slide Park, did the MC blow up. So it’s nice to see he’s still killing it on our site. His hot track “Loud” makes an appearance this week on the charts at Number 48.
