Katy Perry’s upcoming 3-D movie spectacular Part Of Me will undoubtedly feature lots of singing and dancing, but in an interview this morning Perry said that it would also address her split from former husband Russell Brand.

“I thought it was important for me to show everything in between,” she told Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show. “Sometimes, people think that we’re perfect, and we know we’re not perfect at all,” Perry continued.

“I think it’s important to start breaking down the idea that to achieve your dream, you have to always be perfect or flawless or live in a fantasy world. So that’s why I decided to put everything into the film, in the most tasteful way.”

Still, fans who are concerned that the film will be a downer shouldn’t worry, because she also explained that “it’s about how I got there and the ride along the way, which can be bumpy, but mostly, it was extremely fun.” Part Of Me will be released on July 5th, but in the meantime, you can listen to some Katy Perry Radio now!
