You probably already knew that Chris Colfer could sing and act. But did you know he could also write? Struck by Lightning not only stars Colfer, it was written by him as well. A coming of age comedy, Colfer stars as a high schooler who blackmails his classmates into contributing towards his literary magazine to help him get into the college of his dreams. We met up with Colfer and co-star Sarah Hyland to discuss the movie and play a game of free association (if you’re unfamiliar with how the game works, we give them a word and they say the first thing that pops into their head), and we ended up discussing being a cheerleader mean girl, the always hilarious Rebel Wilson, and singing on set. Oh, and Sarah Hyland also dispelled any marriage rumors while also showing us that she really likes to talk about boobs.

Remember when Scarlett Johansson decided to make an album and everybody groaned? Well, the same reaction is reserved for the reverse, singers who decide to be actors — upon hearing that R&B god Trey Songz was starring in the upcoming Texas Chainsaw 3D, we rolled our eyes.
    .
We were wrong. 3D is a sequel to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the classic ‘70s slasher movie in which a redneck family harbors a chainsaw-wielding killing machine. In 3D, a young woman finds out she’s inherited a mansion from her long-lost (and blood-stained) relatives, but she has no idea of the horror buried in the house’s basement. Songz plays her boyfriend, and to our surprise, is one of the film’s best actors and a very candid interviewee.

In our opinion, a new Quentin Tarantino movie is cause for a national holiday, maybe that’s why they decided to open Django Unchained on Christmas day. We met with Jamie Foxx, Kerry Washington, Christoph Waltz and Walton Goggins to play “Who’s More Likely To…” and got some pretty interesting tidbits about their fellow cast mates. We found out who was more likely to break out into a Southern accent after a few drinks (Quentin Tarantino), be really good at horseback riding (Jamie Foxx, who already owned and knew how to ride horses!), get distracted while looking into Leonardo DiCaprio’s eyes (everyone, naturally) and much more.

    .

Calgary musician Michael Bernard Fitzgerald has been performing and releasing music for a few years, but it looks like 2013 will be the time when Fitzgerald breaks into the mainstream. The singer, guitarist and songwriter will release a new album next spring, which was recorded with producers Jon Levine and Brian West in Hollywood, heralded by a three-song EP early in the year. Fitzgerald, who recently signed with Trauma2 Records, spoke with Myspace about his musical history, upcoming album and how he’s played a show with over 200 people. Seriously.

    .
We recently met up with Max Greenfield, co-star and one of Zooey Descanel’s three roommates on New Girl, to play a game of “Who’s More Likely To…” We found out who’s more likely to do a handstand pushup (Max), have a penis cast (Lamorne Morris) and guest star on Glee (Zooey). He also gives us a few lines of one of his favorite Billy Joel tunes, and apparently really wants Rob Lowe to join the cast!
