Sean Kingston is alert and walking following his jet ski accident. Kingston has reportedly been transferred from the trauma ward to the ICU at a Miami hospital and has made big improvements since last week’s crash. Kingston is also apparently communicating with friends and family via hand signs and head nods.

This morning Kingston’s rep said, “Sean is breathing on his own and walked for the first time this morning. Sean continues to be hospitalized at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. His condition has been upgraded to serious.”

Kingston crashed his jet ski in Miami last Saturday near Star Island. Kingston and his female passenger, Cassandra Sanchez, were taken to the Ryder Trauma Center at Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital. Sanchez spoke to the press last week about the crash, saying “I know he didn’t mean to get either of us hurt.” Sanchez, who was relatively unharmed, also said, “I know this whole thing was just an accident. I won’t be pressing any type of charges or hiring a lawyer. Sean is a good guy.”

We’ve got some good news regarding Sean Kingston. It looks like he’s going to make a full recovery following his jetski accident this past weekend. CNN is reporting that two unnamed sources close to the singer are saying that it should take about six weeks to recover from his injuries which include a broken jaw, a fractured wrist and water in his lungs.

As we reported earlier, this past Saturday Kingston and a female passenger crashed a jetski into the Palm Island Bridge in Florida around six o’clock in the evening. The musician was rescued by an off-duty Coast Guard Employee and taken to the trauma center at Jackson Memorial. Since then, the rapper has been transferred to the intensive care unit. His rescuer told TMZ that Kingston was “puking up blood out of his mouth.” Graphic.

Courtney Love’s Twitter account may be defunct, but it’s still getting her into trouble. For the second time, the Hole singer has been sued over her comments on the social media site.

Rhonda Holmes, a U.S. attorney, filed a lawsuit against Love after the musician claimed Holmes had been “bought off.” Holmes was hired by Love to represent her and to investigate whether money had been stolen from the estate of her late husband, Kurt Cobain, last year. Holmes was later fired by the singer six months after Love had hired her firm. Love then tweeted, “I was fucking devastated when Rhonda J Holmes Esq of San Diego was bought off.” Holmes is suing for defamation, saying her career was damaged following the Twitter comment, which she says is false.

This is the second instance of Love’s Twitter comments resulting in a lawsuit for defamation. In the first suit, Love was ordered to pay a whopping $430,000 settlement to fashion designer Dawn Simorangkir.

Well, that was fast. Earlier this month, Simon Cowell announced that Cheryl Cole, one of his favorite judges from the U.K. version of X Factor, would also be serving as a judge on the upcoming American version of the show—however, now TMZ is reporting that she’s gotten the axe before a single episode has even aired.

According to TMZ, Cole will be replaced by ex-Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger. Scherzinger was originally hired to co-host the show with model-turned TV host Steve Jones when it debuts this September, but now the word is that she’ll be joining the judge’s panel alongside Cowell, Paula Abdul and LA Reid. Scherzinger has some judging experience: she was a judge on the NBC a capella competition show “The Sing-Off” earlier this year.

No official word has been given regarding why Cole was dismissed but the gossip site speculated that “her English accent would be too difficult for an American audience to understand” and also cited a “lack of chemistry” between Cole and Abdul, the latter of whom is a much bigger celebrity Stateside.

More details have emerged regarding the murder of Cali Swag District group member M-Bone, who was killed in a drive-by shooting LA over the weekend. M-Bone’s girlfriend, who refused to be named, spoke with TMZ, saying a man in their apartment complex was jealous over Cali Swag District’s success. She also said the two men were engaged in a war via Twitter.

The girlfriend also confirmed that she picked M-Bone up from the airport at around noon and he later took her car to drive to the studio. He was shot while in her car around 10:30 p.m. outside a liquor store in Inglewood. The shooter fired two rounds, drove away and came back, presumably to see if he’d hit his target.

Police are still investigating and no arrests have currently been made. Inglewood PD homicide Sgt. Brian Spencer confirmed to MTV News that the police were called to the 400 block of North La Brea Boulevard in Inglewood at 10:30 p.m. on Sunday night. When they arrived, they found M-Bone shot in the driver’s seat of a black car.
