  • Bio

The Wyndy Trail Travelers Wyndy Trail Travelers (pronounced 'wine-dee') write and perform music in styles ranging from newgrass to afro-cuban, traditional bluegrass to jamband as well jazz, funk, rock, folk and reggae. With their acoustic instrumentation, they travel along a musical trail that leaves one with the sense of wynding around various styles. Wyndy Trail Travelers remain focused on catering to a diverse group of music lovers that love to dance and have a good time. With their debut CD "Day by Day" in hand, they are well prepared to please the ears of the folks unfamiliar with the group hailing from the Piedmont-Triad area of North Carolina. Wyndy Trail Travelers are lead by their resident singer-songwriter Brad Bogenberger. His catchy, heart-felt songs are written from his true life experiences, with the ability to paint a picture in the mind of every listener. Next up, Brad's younger brother Bryan throws in some very well written, high energy songs of his own on mandolin. Over the past decade, he has developed a style of his own through the influences of the late, great Bill Monroe,as well as, Sam Bush, Drew Emmitt, David Grisman, Ronnie McCoury, Tim O'brien and a number of other legendary mandoliners. Tyson Morrow, a Berklee College of Music graduate, plays lead guitar and writes great instrumentals that borrow from styles from all over the globe. Slapping the upright bass like some funky priest , Court Wynter, a graduate of N.C School of the Arts, shows his classical and jazz influences in every song that comes his way. Occasionally, other talented area musicians join the "Travelers" on stage for a couple of tunes and sometimes even an entire show. Wyndy Trail Travelers have shared the stage with and opened for acts such as Ten Years After, Acoustic Syndicate, Jason Michael Carroll, The Carter Brothers, The Deluge, Yarn, and Possum Jenkins to name a few.
