.. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .... Writing electronic music is one thing. Presenting it in public is another thing. Renegade of the post-punk scene with his group Clair Obscur which was one of the first groups in the 80s in France which made links between music, visual arts, dance and theatre, Christophe Demarthe aka COCOON asks (himself) the question of the presentation of music in public, and more particularly of laptop music. Because for Cocoon this presentation does not go without saying. For Cocoon nothing goes without saying. .. Since its creation in 2004 COCOON has been invited to perform in various artistic events such as festival Nowa Fabryka (Bytom, Poland), festival Emergences/Villette Numérique (Paris), festival Emo-Son (Bourges), Salon des Editeurs Light (Paris), Qwartz Awards (Paris), Le Cube (Issy-les-Moulineaux), festival Ososphère (Strasbourg), Le Nouveau Festival du Centre Pompidou (Paris)... With his sound and visual work he has been invited to participate to several exhibitions such as Nuit Blanche (Paris), Comunismo da Forma (Galeria Vermelho, Sao Paulo), Insomnies (Maison d’Art Bernard Anthonioz, Nogent-sur-Marne), Voyeur Home (L140, Paris), Previously on Optical Sound (Galerie Frédéric Giroux, Paris). He has collaborated with the visual artists Pierre Beloüin (Str Crsh, Ososphère, Strasbourg ; Casino 23, Le Dojo, Nice), P. Nicolas Ledoux (Galerie Magda Danysz, Paris), Icon Tada (Galerie Magda Danysz, Paris), Ultralab (L’île de Paradis, Jeu de Paume, Paris ; Black Night 02, Biennale de Rennes), the choreographer Eva Vandest (June Events, Paris)... His work has been criticized in Libération, on Arte.tv, in the magazines Mouvement, Télérama, The Wire, on the radios France Culture and France Musique... His second album, More Violent Days Are To Come (Optical Sound), has been nominated for the Qwartz Electronic Music Awards 2007. .. + infos : ..http://cocoonmusic.free.fr.. .... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .... .. .. .. .. .. .. ..
