French NOUVEL ALBUM "END OF LINE" disponible en 2012. Bien que toutes les compositions de ce deuxième album soient signées du pianiste-claviériste Denis Girard, EOL Trio sonne vraiment comme un trio, et pas du tout comme un compositeur accompagné par deux autres musiciens. En l'occurrence, les 66,66% restant de ce trio hors normes sont constitués de Laurent David à la basse (Yael Naïm, Ibrahim Maalouf, …) et Xavier Girard à la batterie. On peut coller aux dix titres de ce nouvel album une étiquette « jazz-rock-progressif » (au sens noble du terme), on peut évoquer le défunt E.S.T., on peut penser également à Medeski Martin and Wood ou Emerson Lake and Palmer (entre autres), mais on peut aussi se contenter de savourer les thèmes mélodiques, les rythmiques imparables, les climats très personnels, les improvisations intelligentes et les sons (de basse et de claviers notamment) pas forcément de la planète Terre. Loin des clichés et des modes, un vrai monde à découvrir, si ce n'est déjà fait!

English NEW ALBUM "END OF LINE" AVAILABLE IN 2012 Even though all the compositions of this second album were written by the pianist and keyboard player Denis Girard, Eol Trio sounds truly like a trio – not like a composer playing with his sidemen. The 66.66% left of this extraordinary trio is made of Laurent David (playing the bass guitar) and Xavier Girard on drums. We may define their music as "progressive jazz rock". We can name influences such as the E.S.T , Medeski & Wood, Emerson Lake & Palmer… But we can also take the time to enjoy the tunes, the amazing beat, the intimate atmosphere, the smart improvisation and the sounds (of the bass guitar and the keyboard).
