Kells

Now composed of Virginie (Vocals), Patrick (Guitars), Laurent (Bass) and Julien (Drums),the genesis ok Kells comes back to 2001.

In 2004, an indie french producer, AVFP production, fell in love with their particular sound and decided to produce thier first album "Gaia" (2005).
After this first album, wich strongly drew attention, Kells quickly shared prestigious stages with artists of national and international fame such as APOCALYPTICA, CRADLE OF FILTH...

In 2008, the band is chosen by EPICA to open their whole November french tour.

In 2009, "La Sphère" featuring Candice of ETHS, the first extract from the new album "Lueurs", regulary broadcasted on MCM, Virgin17, NRJ12 and MTV, placed <>Kells among the best Metal sales in France.
The band then shot their second video "Avant Que Tu..." also broadcasted on TV channels.

In 2010, the band has been touring through Europe : 38 shows in 15 different countries, as a headliner from May to August, as EPICA Main Support from September to October, and as TARJA TURUNEN Main Support from November to December.

In May 2011, TARJA invited Kells again to join her tour with LEAVES EYES in Germany and Switzerland where the band has been much successful with their french compositions.

Summer 2011, Season of Mist signs Kells for the European release of their third album.

This third album, melting incisive riffs, groovy rhythms, airy, powerful and agressive vocals, recorded and mixed by Yann Klimezyk (Mypollux) at MS Studio and mastered by Ted jensen (Korn, Deftones, Muse...) at Sterling Sound Studio (NY), is expected for early 2012.



Aujourd'hui composé de Virginie (Chant), Patrick (Guitares), Laurent (Basse) et Julien (Batterie), la genèse de Kells remonte à 2001.

En 2004, leur son particulier tape dans l'oeil d'un producteur indépendant, AVFP Production, qui décide de produire leur premier album "Gaia" (2005).
Après ce premier album fort remarqué, Kells partage rapidement des scènes prestigieuses avec des artistes de renommée nationale et internationale tels que APOCALYPTICA, CRADLE OF FILTH...
En 2008, le groupe est choisi par EPICA pour ouvrir toute leur tournée française du mois de novembre.

En 2009, "La Sphère" feat Candice de ETHS, 1er extrait du nouvel album "Lueurs", diffusé régulièrement sur MCM, NRJ12, Virgin17 ou encore MTV, place Kells dans les meilleures ventes du rayon Metal en France.
Le groupe enchaîne alors avec le tournage du second clip "Avant Que Tu..." lui aussi relayé sur les ondes.

En 2010, le groupe part en tournée européenne : 38 concerts dans 15 pays différents, en tant que headliner de mai à août, en tant que main support de EPICA de september à octobre, puis en tant que main support de TARJA TURUNEN de novembre à décembre.

En mai 2011, TARJA invite de nouveau Kells à se joindre sur sa tournée avec LEAVES’ EYES en Allemagne et en Suisse germanophone où le groupe rencontre un succès notoire avec ses compositions en Français.

En été 2011, Season of Mist signe Kells pour la sortie européenne de leur troisème album.

Ce troisième album alliant riffs incisifs, rythmes groovy, chants aériens, puissants et agressifs, enregistré et mixé par Yann Klimezyk (Mypollux) au MS Studio et masterisé par Ted jensen (Korn, Deftones, Muse...) au Sterling Sound Studio (NY), est prévu pour début 2012.
