Louis Aguilar is a young folk musician from france. Born in 1990 , he started playing music when he was 7 or 8. He started playing the guitar at 11 and released his first self produced album in 2006, at the age of 16. He played all around france and now lives in Marshall missouri , majoring Art at the missouri valley college in order to become a tattoo artist. Often compared to artists such as devendra banhart or bob dylan, Louis aguilar really cares about keeping his independence. He's worked with different labels such as ohayo records or noize maker records, wich are independent french labels. He released his latest album " old man poems " in august 2009 but took a year away in the Us. he will be touring again when he comes back. .. Jeune auteur, compositeur, interprète, Louis Aguilar chante des folk-songs aériennes et denses d'une voix chaleureuse. Proche des artistes de Greenwinch Village des années 60, dans son choix de raconter des histoires sous la sobre enveloppe guitare voix, il est à rapprocher, en toute modestie, du Dylan première période. Depuis septembre 2008, Louis Aguilar multiplie les expériences:une résidence à la Cave aux poètes, de nombreux concerts, dont les premières parties de Coming soon et de Moriarty. Grâce à cela, il gagne en richesse d'interprétation tout en gardant sa singulière fraîcheur. C'est avec la même fraîcheur que les lillois l'ont vu monter sur scène avec Devendra Banhart pour chanter un de ses morceaux Il a déjà sorti trois disques sur Ohayo records. Le suivant, Old Man Poems, enregistré au Noize maker studio, est sorti en Aout 2009 sur le tout jeune label noize maker records. Fort attaché au principe DIY, Louis s'est associé avec l'artiste illustratrice Reimoise Agripine . Ils sont tous ensemble parvenu a creer de toute pièce un disque donc chaque exemplaire est une oeuvre a part entière. 11 morceaux folk autour de sujets tels que la mort, la rupture ou le depart. Le depart justement, sujet de la chanson " sailor jerry" , Louis Aguilar l'a réalisé en allant s'installer dans le missouri pour un an , ou il a deja commencé a tourner en tant que guitariste solo pour le Brady Wilson Band, un groupe de country universitaire. Ces rencontres perpetuent l'envie de decouvrir le monde et seront certainement très importante pour les futur morceaux de louis Aguilar.
