Bio
French musician living in Paris, my main instruments are tenor saxophone and clarinet. I also play flutes and toy instruments such as music box, toy piano, metalophone and any others when needed. I studied at the Paris and conservatory and played for many years in many french and european big-bands : Le Gros Cube (Alban Darche), Le Sacre du Tympan (Fred Pallem), Pandemonium (F.Jeanneau), EJYO etc ... As a sideman I performed with musicians such as Riccardo Del Fra, Michel Portal, Aldo Romano, Kenny Wheeler, Didier Levallet, Joey Baron, Hermeto Pascoual and many others... Since 2002 I lead french band called Rockingchair, the group I founded with trumpettist Airelle Besson. The second album of the band called "1:1" was recently released on german label Enja. In 2008, I composed played and recorded the original soundtrack for the french movie called "Dernier Maquis" and recveived the "best original soundtrack price" from the international film festival in Dubaï. I also wrote music for Arthur Rifflet's documentaries "Sin maïs no hay pa ïs" and "La grippe du laisser-faire". wildmimi antigroove syn… WiLDMiMi en Concert à la Reine Blanche (Paris 18ème) le Samedi 6 novembre 2010 à 21h00.
Toujours en quête de nouvelles expériences, Rémi "Wildmimi" Sciuto intègre aujourd'hui dans ses compositions pop anglaise et rock indé. Pour ce concert sous le signe d'un nouveau répertoire, WiLDMiMi accueillera à ses côtés, Antonin Rayon aux claviers et Vincent Teager à la batterie. Le trio s’étoffera aussi de la participation de "Journal Intime", mini fanfare composée de Matthias Mahler et Sylvain Bardiau. Enfin, Wildmimi a fait appel à son vieux complice Fred Pallem (Le Sacre du Tympan) pour quelques lignes de basses ciselées, et autres guitares western, dont il a le secret.
