BIO

Teo Miller's first productions, burst onto the airwaves in 1993 with Daisy Chainsaw's powerful hit single "Love Your Money".

Since then Teo honed his inimitable style by engineering/mixing alongside producers like Arthur Baker, Steve Osbourne, Gus Dudgeon, Mike Hedges and Phil Vinall. With an eclectic range of artists including ; Robert Plant, Placebo, Blur, Martina Topley-Bird, Shirley Bassey, Happy Mondays, The Pretenders, The Fall, James, The Auteurs, and the seminal Black Box Recorder.

His engineering/mixing includes Placebo's "Nancy Boy", "Pure Morning", "Every Me, Every You" & "20th Century Boy" singles, Blur's "There's No Other Way", Robert plant's "let the four winds blow" and Black Box Recorder's "England Made Me" (album) amongst many others.

His favored approach combines the best of classic analogue colour with contemporary recording methods. which has led him to set up RETONE SOUND, an online mixing service which allows the client to upload their finished recorded files, and have them processed through a large frame vintage Cadac mixing console, and his own collection of outboard gems from amongst others Audio & Design and Original 60s Pye compression , to roland space echo and echoplex delay. AKG spring reverb. API 550 eq etc.

"I don't believe a mix, or an online mix, by a 'hired gun', comprising a mastermix, backing track, and acapella etc give enough options to bands and artists these days, even with stems and infinite recall as is commonplace with this technology.

My aim is to give them online access to the retro tech but with end user control, by adding the unique character of classic outboard , and a full analogue signal path to their sounds. Then, the instruments... drum kit...bass...guitars keyboards vocals etc.. are sent back to them as stereo audio files, separate, but working cohesively... which, once in their original session place... gives them the power to make changes..remixes etc to their hearts content.

Obviously if they want the full mix it's already there, in order to make the process work, but the aim of RETONE is to provide online mixing that you have final control of "
