    Near the end of the eighties, a decade known as much for its corporate greed, the rise of right wing politics and the gratuitous overstatement of rock music, three musicians began playing together in a local school hall. Through intensive workshops of extended ideas and forms they found themselves taking potentially minimalist pieces to new and unexpected places. 13 albums later their current work continues to remain unique, progressive, and often undefinable. Since those first meetings as a group in 1987 they haven’t seen it fit to rehearse, and their completely improvised live performances that in which one piece of music often goes for an hour have reached cult status across the globe. ..
